How to Use This Blog Site

Posted here are articles from the AAP Newsletter. You can find a list of the available articles on the right. Click on the article you'd like to read.

If you'd like to comment on the article, choose "comment" at the end of the article, type in the comment box, and click "publish." Please experiment with this and try it out. This is a way to have a discussion about what has been said in the newsletter.

At the moment, anonymous comments are allowed. This means to comment, you'll have two choices. If you are the first to comment on an article, click on "no comments" to open the comment box. If a previous comment has been made, just click in the comment box to respond.

Once you have written your comment, click on the drop-down menu and choose a method of identifying yourself. Don't forget to sign your name.

Each month there is also a post to allow you to comment on anything in the newsletter that is not listed specifically on the right sidebar. It will always be the last post for the month and will be titled The (Month's name) Newsletter.

When you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page on your computer, click on "Older Posts" to continue seeing posts from the beginning of the blog (January 2014).

The newsletter can be read in its entirety by going to http://aapweb.com and logging in to the Members Area.

New Faces at Summer Workshop

New Faces at Summer Workshop
By Nelia Rivers Membership and Mentoring Chair

As membership and mentoring chairperson, I have had the privilege of processing applications of new members. As they are accepted these members are recognized and introduced in the newsletter. For their full introduction, see section titled “Welcome to our most recent new members.“

This summer there were also some additional new faces who are not “new members” and I would like to recognize them by name. Carla Bauer and Curt Arey, who are associate members, were vetted by the membership committee to attend their first summer workshop.

Other members in attendance for their first time were 3 new full members who were introduced in the newsletter of 5/5/14:   Catherine Clemmer, Alan Marcus and Sara Trace.

Some of our members who have never attended a Summer Workshop were also there for their first time, including: Brent Coyle, Sally Atkins, James McCracken and Diane Schaffer. Welcome to 14 new faces!
